YOUR THOUGHTS.. Buying my first CORVETTE and it happens to be a Z06

hey guys new to this forum...

found a 2002 Z06 EB with 39k miles, would just like to get some thoughts and information from fellow z owners,

first off i had the car checked out at paradise chevy in temecula and the service guy was actually SHOCKED how nice and clean the car was, its all original and stock! test came back with flying colors he said this is one of the nicest hes seen, the owner had most of the serviceing done in ScottsDale AZ thats where the car was orginally from but im purchasing the car in temecula ca where the owner now lives...


a few questions i have is with 39k miles and being originally from AZ is there something i should look for that the dealer wouldnt of checked...

is there any common problems for a 02 Z?

also am i getting a good deal? a 02 Electron Blue Z with 39k Miles SUPER CLEAN!!! asking price is $23,000 but were negotiating

this would be my first corvette always loved them just finally saved enough in my car fund to actually get my hands on one AND come on its the best bang for the buck HANDS DOWN!!!

I bought my '02 Z with 47k on the odo for $21k, so you are in the ballpark.

Did they check the rear diff for leaks? Any codes popping up in the DIC?

I did the same. My first 'Vette is my Z06. It wasn't love at first sight however. I did a lot of looking around. After the test drive though, I was smitten. You can see a pic of it on the Introduce Yourself thread.

Sure dis clean car fax no reported accidents mileage is correct and he's the second owner purchased the car with 7k miles in 2004!

Yes they did check the rear for leaks and when it was on the lift I also checked and he showed me that it was very dry no leaks at all!!! No codes as well !

Everything points to this being a good deal. Go for it, especially if he will come down on price some.
