Z06 Beats the Porsche 911 and NSX

I just got the new issue of road & track and the new Z06 totally beat out the NSX and the Porsche 911. Steve Millen a race car driver said that he liked the corvette the best because it was predictable in the rain, and that it was probobly the only car tested in the rain under racing conditions because it did so well.

Oh yeah and the 0-60 times for the Z were 4.7 I know a lot of you have said you had gone 0-60 much faster than that and have read much better times in other articles.

The Z costs $40,000 less than the NSX why would someone with brains buy this car. You could get two Z's practially and let your best friend race the other one for the same price.

I've got that mag. and it kinda pissed me off! Did you see the guy that picked the NSX overall what an idiot. The Z absolutly smoked all of them. Also Road & Track came out with a sports car edition here recently comparing the M3 with the Z and I think it had a Porche as well the old geezer driving them picked the M3 because it had 4 seats and more luggage room. What a joke I didn't know that sports cars were judged on these 2 things. He whined about the Z having so much power???????? I'm not buying any more of these chicken shit magizines who can't appreciate a real sports car for what it is. I think I will get the Z and go looking for a M3 to eat or NSX, 911, or anything else. Z06 Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to take my car to the track and run 1/4's against some Supra TTs, NSX's and Vipers!

Don't forget your camcorder.

Watching you build that monster just begs for a video of you kicking but at the track.

Hey folks,

We all love our Z's here, and no doubt it rules in oh so many ways!

But step out of your box and stop the childish stabs.

My Z06 would defintely beat my (C2) 911 and my (3.2) NSX and my M3, etc, etc.

But then again, they each have fantastic merits of their own, and to say that a Z06 is the ultimate can only mean that you have not driven other high-end cars at lenght (or are still high from the new Z, which is totally understandable).

Maybe a good analogy would be: you've never even been in a C5, maybe not even a Vette.

But you've saved your pennies, worked hard and attained a totally tricked out Camaro. Doesn't get better than that, uh?

Then you get into a C5 or even Z06. Somehow "things" feel different. Uh, maybe there is something here and this may be somehow better after all. May not beat your Z28 at the red light, but who cares now?

If you were a handgun enthusiast I would equate this to lauding a Glock (a fine unit to be sure) to a Sig or Kimber custom 1911...

The plastic Glock could outgun the others and for half the price, but OK, I'll put up with the springy feel on the trigger, etc.

So hey, not saying that the Glock/Z is a compromise, I love them both, but c'mon, broaden up a bit before judging so harshly.

Oh well, off my soapbox now.

It's only springy if you aren't comfortable taking the trigger
and disconnect up to the notch as second nature.

Agreed, there are many cars out there having different traits and qualities. I like the analogy also

Bad Jim, bad!

BTW, have you shot a Kimber Eclipse (or driven an NSX...) lately?

NSX give me a break, no torque high rever, and the 911 falling further behind each year...They are not in the Z-s league...
