Z06 custom badges

I know some think changing the badges is sacrilege and some want chrome or colored. I was thinking it would be cool to put our actual HP on the badge. Or to be real stealthy, change 405 HP to 405 RWHP, so long as you have it. Does anyone know how this could be done? If worst came to worst, I'm sure I could get our machine shop to digitize a stock badge, make any changes and then machine them out of Al. They could then be painted, polished, chromed, etc. What do you guys think?

Chad

PS: If someone does run with this, I think you should require dyno slips (maybe time slips) in order to change the HP value on the badge from stock.

Hows 'bout one with an FRC in place of the Z06 and a 345 in place of the 405? Been wanting one of those for quite a while...

Iv'e been debating on wheather or not to put my DRM badges on my car. Most guys have said leave them off. Really it's a matter of where to put them in a decent location that looks cool.
Any suggestions??

I'm not a legal eagle, but are there any GM copyright issues with the original design that might interfere with a similar badge?

When it comes to GM, everything is copyrighted or trademarked! They have scores of lawyers who do nothing but search for potential infringements. Licensing their trademarks is big business for them. Wouldn't be a problem on an individual basis but any resale items based on their trademarks would be risky.

Dennis, put your DRM badge on the back right corner, where the general should have put a Z06 badge. That way, they know what hit 'em.

Chad:

My thought too. Others suggested under and along side the Z06 badges on the fenders. I like the back too, it's there, but not too obvious.

I like the badge on the back. Matter of fact I have two one on the right side painted red white and blue ZO6 405 HP and the left side one monogramed with my initials SLS in chrome.

You guys knew I'd chime in on this one!!

The DRM badge on a DRM car is way cool...But why not do us ALL a favor and leave it off. Then when you go out and kick @ss they'll think about it twice when I drive up...lol lol

Really, in the same place where the ZR-1 badge went would probably be great.

I agree the General would frown on copy / trade right infringements.

DO ya think plain old hub caps might convince the competition that the Z's are typical grocery getters!! What was the term in the good ole daze? SLEEPER??!!
Finally, if you want to put a YUGO badge on YOUR car go for it...lol lol

Doc

Scuuuuuuuuuuuuse Me!!!!

I happen to think it would be cool to have an FRC badge! But I may not like it when I see it

So as to further demean myself ... What, prithee, is a DRM badge?

Thanks,

Dan "Disis Really Metal?" Farmer
