Z06 prospects in another year.

Hello all Z06ers.

I so missed being here, as I sold my 04 TR Z06 last year due to a new baby. So now I have a Toyota 4Runner as the family mobile and am currently saving for a used Z06.

I have 17.5K saved now and hoping to be in a position to buy one next year.

My question is, what do you think my chances are at finding a low mileage (20,000 - 30,000) Z06 about this time next year?

Also any predictions on pricing 1 year from now?

I see a lot of Z06s out there now for about 35K with 15K - 20K mileage wise.

Think there wil be more Z's on the market in a year?

I am hoping to be able to get into a low mileage one next for about 27K - 30K any years except an 01. Am I dreaming?

Thanks, it is so nice to be back here, as I stopped visiting when I sold my Z06.

I have visited other car forums since selling my Z as I had a Audi S4 and now the 4Runner, but none of them match Z06Vette.com. This is truely a great group of people on here.

Well, mine has 4,900 on it and is an 04. The more C6's I see the more unique mine looks. So it's a keeper unless the C6Z or Ford GT's come down to earth. Even at that, I would still be tempted to keep her as well, just for track days. What they do on a road course is nothing short of amazing.

Even at the C5Z prices you mentioned, you still can't buy a better do it all car for the money. Quite a few changed hands as the C6 vette arrived, but many of them were daily drivers. Still lots of folks make them a weekend car so there should still be 30% or so with real low mileage on them ( less than 25k). As long as the C6Z is in the stratosphere, the C5Z should hold it's own. There was a pole on mileage of 02 Z's, quite a few were still very low mileage rides as I recall.

I too had to sell a car for the same reasons as you about 10 years ago, it was tough. Good Luck and Welcome Back.

Damn, I got a good deal on my Z I wouldn't of paid 35K for my car even though it had less than 18K on it. goood luck with finding one buddy! I'm sure you will find a deal out there that will suit you.

I traded my 01 Z with 16k for a super low mileage 03 because I intend to keep this car until I'm dead. I'm sure a lot of other people plan to keep their C5 Z's for a long time. That being said, I think that there will be nice Z's on the market forever. You may have to look, but you'll find your Z somewhere when the time comes.
