This is a very "Photograph Unfriendly" forum... I don't even waste my time posting pictures here much anymore. It's good for technical stuff etc. I have a job that let's me be on the internet a lot. Over the last couple of years the activity on this site for C5 Z's has slowly come to a trickle while the other less restrictive forum is still busy with new
C5 Z06 post all the time.
I saw the shot on the other forum and it looked great.

Yea, it sure is difficult to just put a link to whatever size and resolution image you want
...and then, think how difficult it is for a member to 'click' on that link to see a picture.
Wow, tough stuff for sure
wow mike... you mean you can actually click on a link and go to a hi res photo ???

I truly don't understand the need to limit picture size??? Is it for the sake of those with dial-up internet connections? Limit the length (# of pages) of posts?
Just curious, that's all, and judging by the interest in this area lately I'd say I'm not the only one...
True, it's easy enough to click on a link to the pic, but it's much easier if the pic just pops up automatically (the posts look much better also). Could the max pic size be increased?

No, and there are 2 reasons why we have a pic max. One is dial-up of course, and the other reason is bandwidth. Nomad's favorite site charges vendors much, much more than we do and therefore does not have to worry about bandwidth payments whereas we do.
Is clicking on a link really that hard????
Obviously it's a very big issue with nomad and perhaps he is better off staying over on the other site. As for everyone else, I just can't believe that clicking on a link is that timetaking of a task

(for what it's worth, we had many members sending pm's requesting smaller pics just because it's easier to view threads without having to scroll back and forth)

The other site has 100,000+ members too....but don't let facts get in the way of a good story.
