I thought it was amuzing that they try to compare the 350Z to cars way out its class. Obviously a paid advertisement by Nissan. They should compare it to the new Dodge SRT-4. That way it would only lose in all catagories by smaller margins other than price (about $15K difference, large margin there).
The article makes me proud of my Z06. Yes it takes a little learning to handle the the Z06 but that's because it's so bad-azz !
It's like a horse that is trained better than the rider. The rider has to come up to the abilities of the horse. I like my horses that way and I like my cars that way too.
I used to own a new 87 300z. One day a 4 cylinder 944 Porsche smoked me at the light and I thought what a piece of crap. The 300 looks like an economy street sweeper and it's absolute boot-licking by the magazine to even compare it to the Z06!

Proud of the Z - Absolutely!
The car mags have to kiss up to the car manufacturers - that's business I guess. But when you read between the lines, you can always tell what they REALLY think! The Vette, and now the Z06, has received consistently high marks from all the top magazines, at least since the inception of the C5, so far as I recall.

Tell it like it is R&T!
"There's little the Z or any other car in this test can do against the Z06's monstrous V-8. Its unrelenting power and bottomless torque make it hard to beat."
"Under hard acceleration, both cars create quite an interior racket, but in different ways. The 350Z's overly mechanical engine sounds drown out the much more pleasing exhaust note, while the Z06's engine and exhaust work in concert to produce a loud but intoxicating roar."
