Ok...been thinking of getting some of brutha's together sometime early April. Frankly getting tired of all this rain and stuff. I need to go on a road trip.
Here's the plan. Evansville, Indiana is about a three hour drive from St. Louis, MO; 2 hours from Louisville, Bowling Green, KY; 2 from Nashville and so on....
A very good friend of mine has an import car dealership and recently picked up the Mallett Corvette as another offering. We can check out his "inventory" and perhaps get a little "mod party" going. Then cap the day off at the local Hooter's (banner pix of course).
So any interest on getting this "show" on the road?
Glenns....yes...approximately 6 from Chi-town, straight down I-57, then I-64.
Leslie...you can always stay at the dealership...perhaps I can even talk the owner in letting you take one of his "exotics" out for a nice cruise of the river front area.
Glad to see you getting the party going, count me in I would like to come. Also I would like to help you out on the mod. side of it.
If a few guys would like, I would be more than happy to give and install a few items I have been making (I think you know what I'm talking about / dont know if I can say it in this format). Maybe a drawing or first guys commited to showing up. Let me know.

Good to hear from you. I'll be nailing down the "when." My friend in moving his operations to a new building that he and his dad just recently bought. It'll be a "grand opening" of sorts and he mentioned that he was going to invite Chuck Mallett to attend since he is now the national distributor for the Mallett Corvettes(he's got an E/B in stock when I last spoke to him).
Corvettes Unlimited Club, 27th Annual Corvette Show & Parts Swap in Joliet, Illinois-March 9 (I entered it)
Super Chevy Show in Memphis, Tn. April 11-13
All Corvette Cruise In at Terre Haute, In. on April 12
Proceeds to local charities.
I live 11 miles East of St. Louis, Missouri
Gaijin maybe the Terre Haute-Corvette Cruise is a little closer to Chi-Town, $5.00 for charity 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., it is held at Sycamore Chevrolet, thats on a Saturday, maybe later we could do evening things. It is put on by Wabash Valley Corvette Club.
I am willing to go to Evansville, In. as our Car Club-Pieces of History pasted through there to get to Madisonville, Ky. to Judge a local Car Show for them in 2001.
Also Paducah, Ky. ( might attract some members from Tennesse ) is a Great Town always plenty to do. Antique Shops, Flea Markets, Quilt Museum, Fun Park, Mall Shopping and "lots of Straight Roads".
Gaijin not trying to horn-in, whatever works for you I will try to be there. Phil
