Is anyone familiar with WA state emissions laws?

I'm in the market for headers and Im running into a couple of issues.

Im considering several systems such as the LG off-road system, Stainless Works, and Kooks.

The LG system is very nice and priced right but it doesnt come with high-flow cats.

The Stainless works system also seems nice but I still need an x-pipe and cats to go with this system.

Kooks system has an awesome price, is Stainless Steal, and comes with an x-pipe and cats, but i hear you have to remove all kinds of crazy stuff and lift the motor to install 'em.

So I guess my question is: what kind of emissions testing do they do here? Do they have a visual to check for cats or just the smog test? Will I be ok if I go with the LG off-road system?

Any advice would be appreciated. I know some of you have headers systems so Im hoping to hear from you guys.

there's a 5 year grace period so an 02 won't be tested until 2007. this year 99's an older get tested, though it's only once every other year.. I've been told, though have not personally seen that for newer cars they just plug in a scanner to the port under the steering column and check for codes. no visual, no snifter. I went last year with my 90 SHO and there was a mid 90's Ferrari getting tested just like me with the snifter, so I'm not sure. go to the state web site an look. anyway, you have 3 years to worry bout it, can register your car out of the testing area by then

Just the answer I was looking for. Thx Dave

Anyone have any opinions on which headers to buy? The LG headers are very appealing since I can get the offroad version.

The competition between the manufacturers has gotten better to the point there are several good systems out there now.

I had an FLP system running into my stock muffs and I really liked them. They were an all bolt on system with no welding required and they came with both hi flow cats and off road pipes that could be easily changed out.

Although I preferred the quieter sound of the stock muffs at the time, I think a set of Borla 4 tip mufflers would have been my next move.

My TPIS long tubes, with no cats, w/ Dr. Gas XPipe sounds freaking crazy bad ass.
