A good Corvette showing at Buttonwillow Sept 30, October 1-2

So far there are 14 Corvette drivers showing up. About half of them are Z06s. I am going to try and grab a large spot on the paddock just west of and adjacent to the control tower/snack bar area. I encourage you all to convene in this area so we can tell track lies, trade misconcieved driving tips, cross-thread bolts and be the usual track juveniles we all are.

I spoke to Aaron Bitterman of Speed Ventures this afternoon. The Buttonwillow event on September 30, October 1 and 2 is nearly sold out.

He said he has a three spots left on Sunday morning for beginners and the advanced "red" group has a few openings. In an unusual twist, he has 8 openings on Saturday for beginners and I think a few for advanced. I think Friday has a few openings in all run groups.

So if you want to have fun and want to stretch the legs on your car or just visit and ride a few laps, come on out and join us. I don't think we will be hard to find.

I'll be there Friday only! Would very much like to cross-thead bolts and otherwise pick your brain about track driving. Hope you're there for Friday.

I am sorry to say it looks like I will only be able to go on Saturday and Sunday. I do expect to roll in on Friday, but probably not until all the festivities of that day are over.
