I. Mission Statement:

- There has been a massive amount of attention and criticism of the street scene here in Houston. Street racing has caused many injuries and even deaths in H-Town. It's now time to stop this behavior and take it to the track. Houston Performance Driving is stepping up to the plate with John Hennessey of Hennessey Performance Engineering/Lonestar Motorsports Park (LMP) to educated newbs and old cats a like on good old fashion 1/4m drag racing.

- Give the track a chance! If you are a street racer...it's guaranteed that if you give the track a chance. You will feel that rush you get on the street. However in a safe, ticket-free, and controlled environment . YOU WILL GET HOOKED ON TRACK!

- Houston Performance Drivings mission is to bring all the race crews, forums, independents, and shops together for a different kind of track night* with a street racing theme. HPD is a forum that hosts many events throughout the year. Such has drag days/nights, meets, shows, cruises, and many social activities. HPD is a open forum to performance Imports and Domestics and those who push them to their limits.

- This event is open to anyone and everyone! From the 9 sec trailer queens to the 14 sec Yahoos. There should be a great mix of cars and trucks. Of course. Everything is really shaping up for 1200:1320. G and myself are very happy to have this event about 3 to 4 times a year. Really hope to see some Z06 Brothers or Sisters hanging out with us this Saturday night.

Re: Houston: Midnight 1320 @ LMP Oct 24th! Hosted by HPD.

Looks like weather may hold up for some good runs. I haven't had the Z for too long. Factory tires, bad driver - doubt I'll break 11s if I came. Im hoping to have some work done this week if my vararam comes in. I'll check around with some friends and family and see if I can get a crowd to come out.
I have 09 atomic orange Z (hope to have intake, exhaust, dynotune by then), dads got 06 z51 (intake/exhaust/tune), brothers got 00 T/A WS-6 (bolt ons and 4.10 gears). Pretty sure my friend's getting his 1000hp supra tuned today, may be ready for some track time. May try to get my buddy to bring my SRT8 jeep I just sold. Didn't get a chance to run it before I sold it. Fresh 426 N/A hemi stroker, made close to 700 HP at the crank. Things a beast on launch, AWD.

Hell Ya JT! Sounds like a plan! Hope you are enjoying the new Z06! You can still compete in the Stock Class. Bolt-Ons are allowed. 11's in that class will proly put you in the top 3. Thanks for spreading the word with your friends. I'm not sure if I will bring my '09 or '02 Z06. Might have to take the truck to haul on this gear. Thanks!

Thanks to Admins and Mods for allowing us to post this event on such a great forum! Really helps us out! THANK YOU!

Troy.
