If that wasn't the same weekend as the Fest I would probably try and make it.

Maybe next time!

I've always gone to hallett with private clubs and never with their HST program. Do you need to pre-register or can you just show up - pay - and run?

I won't make it to this one as the clutch is gone in the vette I just bought but I've got a few laps at hallett in my previous car.

What laptimes are you guys hitting in the Z's?

You can "just show up -pay- and run" as long as your car passes tech inspection.

I have ran as well as 1:29s with a stock '02 Z06 on stock tires.

Pre-registering ensures you a spot as they limit the number of cars. Also saves you $5 or $10 dollars, can't remember which.

Send Connie an email saying to sign you up at: connielstephens@cox.net. Fill out the paperwork when you arrive or at their website. It's easier doing it at the track.

First timers also need to buy a $35 annual track license. The whole day only costs $95 if you pre-register and already have a license.

Schedule is available at their website. First timers should get there early as you need to go through tech inspection.

I'm running 1:34 laps in a coupe with R compound tires, race pads/cooling ducts and Z06 suspension.

1:29s are very fast with your setup. I'm run in the top 3 - 5 cars on lap times every month with the setup listed above. Your times are quicker than the Z06s that run there regularly with R compound tires and race pads. Guess we all have some learning to do....

BTW, they are running clockwise. They usually run counterclockwise. Clockwise is only run every 4 or 5 months. Completely different track than what most are used to running. Nice change of pace.

Thanks for the quick replys. I'll start hitting the HST's once I get the clutch put on the car but I've gotta fix that damn clutch stickin to the floor issue.

That kinda what I expected the Z's to run. But a 1:29 in a bone stock 02z is fast period. I ran around 1:32's with my previous STi with street tires. I'm excited and hope to break into the 20's with the Z.

Edit - just seen that was clockwise. LOL My times are CC.

Rick,
The "Fest" is a huge Z06 gathering at Bowling Green.
**2006 Fest Registration Information**

SCCA T1 Z06s turn in the 1:24s at Hallett running CCW. My best was a 1:26.7 in the one weekend I've run there.
