Willow Springs International or SoWS in early September?

Is anyone else going to the Speed Ventures track day at Willow Springs International Raceway on Sept. 2 - 3? This one is Saturday and Sunday on Labor Day weekend. I hope to sneak out for a little fast driving on Sunday.

Or how about the following Friday, September 8, at Streets of Willow Springs.

I think I might go to this one, too

I am taking my 2004 LeMans Blue Z16.

The engine is all stock, just a few suspension adjustments and T1 bars.

The sign up sheet is unusually short. Is something up with that? I had fun there last time (as a spectator). The only tiff I saw was the track flaggers flagging checkered half track and people were upset about lack of brake cooling lap. I think the regulars just went around again anyway solving their own problem. Only 12 rides signed up tho.

I've had my T1 bars about a month. This last week they (rubber gromments) starting twisting and squeeking very loudly. Sounds like they are doing their job, but wonder why it took 3 weeks. Do yours squeek?

This event was added at the last minute by Speed Ventures so I think a lot of people:
A. Donīt know about it at this time
B. Have already made other plans for the three day weekend

Therefore I think it presents a great opportunity for the few drivers who go to get unprecendented amounts of track time.

At the very first my T1 bars did not squeak. Then at about the time you mention I think they started to squeak slightly. Then a while after that they quit squeaking. I am not sure what that was about, but that is what happened for me.

Are you going to put on some slicks or put some rapid miles on your street tires?

Harness kit yet?

In about a week start looking for my registration on the driver list as Oli T.

If I make it, I am 90% certain, look for my car. It is a 2004LeMans blue Z16 with the silver stripe down the center. I am sure you have seen these before.

And oh... while my car is largely stock, I am always running DOT R tires, usually Hoosiers, or Hoosier VRL slicks.
