Let me check with JC to see if he wants attachments made available, the fact that they are not currently enabled tells me that for some reason (probably bandwidth related) JC does not want this option made available.
Mike, if there is a way to change it, I don't know what it is.
I can't honestly say I've ever seen an attachment to a post.
You can post pics, right?
Mike
Actually I just want to be able to post pics. Apparently there is another method besides using attachments. Can you direct me to a sticky or other tutorial that will give me the info?

I'll let you in on a little secret. Any site that has a PhotoPost photo gallery will generally allow any registered member to upload photos to that gallery. Depends on how the admin has it set up, however. But note that you CAN use that as a FREE photo hosting service, as you can normally freely link those photos from anywhere else on the net that you visit using the IMG tags.
Many larger free sites will greatly restrict the posting of images on their sites as it is definitely a resource hog. But it is a trade off. People love to post and look at photos. So you generally need to cater to your readership. If you are offering paid advertising, generally this income provides the funds to update your server's capability to keep up with those types of demands. But in any event, you DO need to give the members what they want or they will go elsewhere. That's a lesson I learned the hard way....
We do offer free image hosting via PhotoPost, its just that a couple of members are having problems. Unfortunately, with the myriad of variables that are involved with browsers, os, etc, its impossible to cater to 100% of our members. I've been following this trying to see a pattern, but so far, I can't seem to see whats happening.
99% of folks don't have issues with posting images here, so, it almost seems like a client issue....I just can't figure out that last 1%

Maybe check my account for a lead. I couldn't for a long time, then about a month ago, my account allowed me again to post. I think it's something during some of your upgrades.
Just trying to help out here.
Bill.
