I had a cam swap done by Morgan Motor Sports and here's the results.
415 rwhp and 385 torque
I already had pretty much all the bolt ons you could have plus
I had an underdrive pulley added at the same time.
The car sounds mean!
The drivability is close to the same with a couple of issues.
The car seems to surge a little at even speeds on the highway and it doesn't always hold an idle. I'm sure these issues will be worked through.
Now I just need to get it to the track to see the real differance!
Nice numbers. I do believe I am gonna have MMS add H/C to mine soon. They did my S/C. Don't worry about the little things. They will fix them. I must admit, MMS is very good about the follow up stuff, and they seem really concerned about making the car "right" for the individual driver. THere were a couple small issues after I had the work done on my car, but they fixed them right away. And by the way, Derek, who is part owner of the shop, is an awesome mechanic. Nice guy too. He never seems to get much credit, but he's the one that really gets his hands dirty there.
Removing the Cats was not mandatory, the options are running
stock cats, running long tube headers and removing the pre-cats,
running hi flow cats or removing them all together.
Kamu,
Do you have long tube headers? I'm wondering if the differance in your numbers from mine are the headers, the cam is slightly differant, or your car is simply stronger? My car has 3400 miles on it, so there may still be some power has it loosens up?
I'm thinking of going to Long Tube headers and then who knows from there? Maybe a blower
