'01 Z cold air intake

Anyone heard of a "aFe Power MagnumFORCE Intake Stage-2 Pro 5R 97-04 Chevy Corvette V8-5.7L cold air intake?
Or S&B Cold Air Intake System 01-04 Chevy Corvette C5 5.7L
Both look good and seem to have a good design. I currently have an old Halltech from '01. Any reports on the performance of each of these? Looking for alternatives to BBK, K&N, Varoom etc...

Re: '01 Z cold air intake

Save your money. Absent other mods, Intake systems are of marginal benefit to begin with. There's little if any difference between the intakes that cost $$ and something as plain as the old-time classic "Zip Tie Mod" for the stock air box.

I haven't heard of those brands of intakes. I would just leave the Halltech on.

Re: '01 Z cold air intake

Resurrecting from a few months ago. Is the SLP Blackwing the best CAI for the C5 Z06. I only plan to pay for and install one. I hate going back to "upgrade" because I didn't buy the right mod. Also where can I find what the "zip tie" mod is for the factory air box?
