'03 Fuel Pump / Fuel System Question

I've read the threads about the new '03 fuel system and it's seems anything built after VIN 111,542 should have the new design FFS fuel system. I've also read if the data plate in the glove box reads FFS, your Z has the new fuel system.
My question is this, I've got an '03 Z, my VIN ends in 114,014 [after the cutoff point] and FFS is not listed on the plate in the glove box. Is there any other easy way to determine which fuel system the vehicle has?

I need to check my plate. I was told based on my build date that I have the new system.

Based on case2307's reply, is it possible FFS is the old system and another code or no code indicates the new system.
Is there something externally different about the system(s) we could look at to verify what system is actually in the vehicle.
Not a life or death issue because the Z is running great, I'm just curious and would like to know.

DOH! I got that VIN off my insurance card. It looked a little strange. My VIN is not the VIN I posted above. It is 114954. The insurance card is wrong. So, if anything made after 111542 is supposed to have the new system and it should be on the plate then, mine is right on. Could the cut-off VIN be off?

Hi there,
There has been massive discrepancy on the breakpoints, and if FFS is indicated on the glovebox.
FACT is that FFS was started production on the breakpoint, 111,542.
FACT is that NOT ALL have the FFS on the glove box SERVICE PARTS IDENTIFICATION LABEL.
I do not know the reasons for this, and noone has been able to give me a clear cut answer, however, ALL C5 after this breakpoint will have the FFS fuel system.
EVERY single time I serve these cars, after the breakpoint, we obtain options codes from GM, and everyone has the system.
FFS system requires different diagnosis steps for EVERY PART OF THE FUEL SYSTEM.
Allthebest, c4c5

The reason I assumed mine had the old system was that my fuel filter is on the outside of the tank and I had heard (probably wrong info) that the FFS had the fuel filter in the tank.
