1000+ rwhp Corvette

Hey,

Check out this link which talks about a street driven Corvette making over 1000 rear wheel hp.

http://www.chevytalk.org/forums/Foru...ML/010333.html

It is a twin-turbo setup and the torque numbers will just blow your mind. This is "serious power".

I read an article about a daily-driven, street-legal C4 making around 1200 hp a while ago. I don't remember where it was (one of the Chevy magazines, article was online). The guy still had stock wheels and brakes! I found the link in one of the other forums I go to (not vette related), but they turned off their search so I can't dig it up for you.

I believe so... I read the article a while ago, so I don't remember too many details.

Ok, I went searching and was actually able to find it (and it's 1300, not 1200 hp):

Is that rwhp or fwhp?

From the pix, it appears it was on an engine dyno.....even at 15% less power at the rear wheels this would be one hell of a ride!!

5 years ago when I had my TT Supra, Rhys Millen told me of a guy across the street from their shop who had a Chevy Pick Up with 1,750 HP(probabily BHP) and it was the guys daily driver

its still a 1982 vette...IMHO one of the ugliest and worst years ever for the vette....why waste all that time and energy on that car? put that engine in a real car!!!
