$1000 to spend.....what mods next?

Hey all,

This speed thing is killin me. Just when I think my car is fast enough.....I get used to it and want more. I will list my power mods below. I will have an extra $1k in Sep and am wondering what my next mods power mods should be. Im thinking about LG's G5X2 112 lsa cam, ASP pulley package, and then a re-tune. Am I on the right track and what kind of hp numbers should I expect if I am?

Mods completed:
blackwing filter system
carbon fiber airbridge w/ smooth coupler
TB bypass tube
breathless performance headers
cats removed
magnaflow x-pipe
borla stinger exhaust
diablo predator revolutions custom dyno tune

thanks for the help!!
Jim

btw....I have the carbon fiber interior trim package in the mail. i'll post pics when i get it in the car.

Yeah, I went to a drivers school about 12 years ago. I dont have one close by and it'll definately run more than $1k.

You pretty much have the $1K mods covered. Underdrive pulley?

Hey Jim,
How did you deal with the 02 sensors when the cats came out? Did the tuner take care of it for you? You might consider some sticky tires to plant the power you've got now before trying to install more go-fast parts.

I know that you said power mods but gears will give you the most bang for the buck at this point. 3:73 or even 3:90s. If you're into drag racing a set of drag radials should be considered.

I would like to know where you can get a good cam, pulley, and tune for $1000. I would be there tomorrow!
Gears are a good idea, too, but where can you get them installed for $1000? Same problem.
Go with the cam. I would take 50 hp over gears any day.
Dave

I dont think you can do all that work for 1k.

I would do it simple. TNT wet kit with goodies and a tune for juice and N/A. Tune it N/A and then run it with juice and tune with jets for N2O.100 shot is nice and safe and you will trap at least 126 in the quarter.

I'd say cam, even though you might be over $1K with installation.
