After Market Shifter for 07 Z
I see from a search there is alot of info on after market shifters for C5, but little on C6. My 07 shifter worked fine. Got the rattle fixed on a tech bulletin and now it's acting up, but the rattle is gone. I'd take the rattle back to get precise shifts. Sometimes it just won't go back down to first or second gear. When shifting into 5th it feels like I'm headed to reverse. It's like something floats randomly and intermitently. I can't get it to duplicate the problem on command. It just appears and disappears. It's not the skip shift.
My question: Should I just pay to put in the new 08 shifter in my 07. Is there an after market anyone is using with success in the C6's? The current one is history one way or the other, warranty or no warranty. It's not acceptable. The dealer has been researching the problem for weeks and I haven't had a call back. Before I call dealer again, does anyone have any suggestions?
