Aftermarket seats that work with the stock seatbelts?

... besides Carvaggios.

I'm looking for an aftermarket reclining seat that will work with the stock seatbelt. I want more lateral support but I don't want to have to install a harness bar and harness. I was looking at the Corbeau TRS, but some searching on this forum revlealed that the Corbeaus won't fit in a C5 with the stock belt.

Any ideas?

Just about any "folding seat back" seat (2 pieces) will utilize factory belts, UNLESS the side bolsters are very tall. One piece-type seats often have side bolsters that are so tall they don't allow a snug fit of the factory belt to the occupant's lap/body.
Time to "test seat" some "chairs"...

From what I understand the corbeau mounting rails needed to install their seat, don't leave any room for the stock lower seatbelt retractor.

Depends on the SEAT...slim model or "widebody"...
We have a pair of Corbeau's, on their rails, that fit fine, but they're one piece "high-side", so 5 points are necessary because of the seat design, NOT the rails.

The best seats out there IMHO are Caravaggio. Very high $$$ but worth it. I love mine

After months of research I found None except the Caravaggio race seat which I bought and waited 2 1/2 months to get only to find when they arrived that my kids car seat won't fit properly. So I put them up for sale yesterday and sold the yesterday to a fellow forum member.

Corbeau A4 seats work with stock belts I've been told. You can check the other forum too.

Thanks Joe for mentioning this issue with car seats. I always had a concern the kids seats would be a tough fit.

I'm betting you got a cool co pilot thats even more important than lateral g's!

The Carvaggio Seats that are fixed are nice but his reclinable remake of the stock seats don't look like they have very good support in the buttox area (seems almost like stock to me). THey do look nice seats tho but they are rediculously expensive. I've seen local upholsters do similar work for 1/3 the price. Also the location of the cut outs for the harnesses are wayyyyyy too low. Maybe they are okay if your like 5'6 but if your over 6 ft they will be below your shoulders which means compressed spine in an accident.
