Anyone running Comp beehive springs?

I'm thinking of switching to the beehives since I've got a spring change coming up.

I like Comp's write-up about them. Seems like what the doctor ordered for a lightweight valve train set-up.

I was wondering if anyone here is using them and have you noticed any adverse side effects?

John,
How many miles on your current springs, and which ones are they. I have around 12k on my Crane 832 duals and am not even going to consider changing them until 20k. I seem to remember that you have Comp 921's, and if so, I have been told that they are good for 25k unless you beat on your car severely, and I know that you don't do that! Just curious about it.......

Whatever comes stock with the AFR 205's. I'm not sure but they are supposedly good for .600 lift and a seat pressure of 135.

Anyway, I have about 15k on them and it's been two years so I thought changing them would be a good idea. If I remember correctly, Mike Norris suggested changing after a couple of years regardless of the miles. The jury is still out on that.

I was looking at the beehives because I was interested in their advantages over regular springs. Of course they're singles but the way I baby the car that shouldn't be a problem.

Comp 918's

I switched out my stock springs for the 918's last winter. Other than that, my motor is still stock. I have about 5k on them so far and no problems. Unfortunately, no track days this year...definitely next year. I do have about a half dozen passes at the drag strip this year. It is my belief that the rev limiter was put there for a reason. I think the next time I change them I will go for the 921's just for a little more insurance.

My .02

Ben

I have a set of NEW AFR dual upgraded springs that have never been used. They are good up to .650.
I will sell them for $200.00.
I am running 921 springs but I was doing major BACKWARDS research on springs after I installed a huge cam and then found out very few springs are out there for a roller hydraulic cam over 650 lift.
The OEM springs are considered beehive. Right?

I think the stock springs are AFR-8017 600 lift
I have a set of AFR-8019 650 lift
If you bought them from LG, I bet they were Comp 921
