B&B TriFlow PRT or CORSA Extreme

Hi all,

My TI system was destroyed internally by the gases after changing to LG Pro Headers without cats and a tune. I have now a vibration over the exhaust when it gets high temperatures at WOT, the vibration is not coming from the trans, We did the test stopped and without any gear engaged and the issue persists.

I installed the high flow cats and I am just thinking in changing the exhaust system by other branded set

Corsa has recently launched their new Extreme and outside there is no much info about it. A couple of friends of mine have the PRTs and it sounds with a very deep note that I like.

Any sugestion regarding which of both system I should choose, and do you think that the vibration will dissapear with a new system, we have analyzed it and it seems coming from the TI destroyed mufflers. We checked if there is any part of the long headers and x system that were rubbing, however we did not identified any issue

thank you for your responses

Re: B&B TriFlow PRT or CORSA Extreme

I have a 2002 Z06 - and 2 weeks ago I had the Corsa Extreme cat-back installed here in Houston. My car is stock- except for a Magnaflow X-Pipe (note the Extreme was designed by Corsa to be run with an XPipe).

The Extreme appears to me to be a similar design as the B&B PRT. I chose the Corsa because, well it's a Corsa.

The idle is nice- more aggressive than the stock TI system. Cruise - absolutely no drone- no louder than stock . Step on it- or run up thru the gears, and the Extreme is aggresive. Backoff- and you get the nice poping which I had missed when I took the stock H-Pipe out a year ago for the X-Pipe.

Honestly - it's probably a toss up between the B&B PRT and the Corsa Extreme. You will be happy with either one- the PRT might be slightly more aggressive ( but maybe not).

Both systems are essentially straight pipes back thru the tips - with a vacuum induced diversion into the muffler cans. At WOT - I imagine both systems completely bypass the mufflers. The PRT muffler cans are a bit smaller than the Extreme's - but likely academic given that at WOT neither system flows thru the cans.

I like my Corsa Extreme's ! Could have gone with the B&B Bullets, but I wanted something I could drive everyday with - the Extremes work for me.
