B&M versus Hurst shifters
I'm trying to decide between these shifters for my Z16. Any comments regarding ease of installation, overall performance, etc. would be much appreciated.

Hurst is my choice. Nosier than stock, everything else is a plus. The Jub Jub mod can quite them down.

Very quick throws! Would not trade it for anything. I also trust the Hurst name.

B&M Ripper
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the after market shifters

The Hurst has shorter throws than the B&M... B&M cuts it down by 30% and the Hurst by 42%... Can't go wrong with either!

I think both are similar -- carved billet mounting plates.
All I know that there is nothing like slapping the Hurst from 2nd to 3rd without tracing the alphabet like the stock shifter!

The Hurst is great! No missed gears, and the one in my Z06 does not rattle. Makes the shifter in my Taurus SHO feel like I'm rowing a boat.

Ditto...I'm very happy w/ the B&M Ripper, but I also don't think you can go wrong with either brand.

I installed the Hurst shifter 3 weeks ago. It is a VERY easy install. It is still a bit stiff but it should break in soon. No noise but I had the stuff to do the jub jub mod if needed.

It's like saying Blue Z06's are faster then black one's....
There both great shifters... pick the one on sale...
(And we all know Red is the fastest)
