Bassani Exhaust

Just wanted to share my initial thoughts on my recent addition of the Bassani Quiet Thunder Cat Back system with the dual elliptical tips. Nate at Corvette Garage handled the transaction and had to stay on Bassani like a hound dog in heat (thanks Nate) but I finally got the system and had it installed last night. As everyone else probably has done I researched just about every system on the market (Borla, PRT's, Magnaflow, etc. etc.) and finally decided on the Bassani's with the elliptical tips. The sound is about 30%-40% louder than stock, sounds awesome at WOT, and there is ZERO interior resonance at any throttle or any speed. The elliptical tips look awesome and look great with my exhaust plate that is perfectly centered with the tips. For me this is the perfect system and the fit and finish was top notch. I know this system is more expensive than the Borla Stingers and a few other systems but I think the extra cost is worth it as this is a quality product.

Is this the Bassani that is in one of the new magazines? The article has the 4-2-1 headers going into stock cats then into an xpipe resonator than into a dual ehaust? Looked pretty cool and loud!!

According to Bassani these are their latest called the Quiet Thunder and I first saw them at the recent Corvettes at Carlisle show. They had three offerings on the tips: two elliptical tips, quad round tips, and the two big round tips. I was very impressed with the fit an finish and they lined up perfectly as well. The sound is a very low mellow tone at idle but sounds a little more exotic under heavy throttle and has a higher pitched note at WOT. Very impressive so far.....

Pkg.--
Sounds like you stayed with what YOU wanted & got it.
Good job.
They sound like a nice setup.
Now, how about some pics of those dual elliptical tips? Do you know the inside diameter of the tips?

Mike--
I think you were distracted by that other Bassini magazine ad with the girl in the bikini. Was that the set of headers you were referring to??

Here is a pic of my '99 with the dual elipticals. I loved that system.

I have a Quad-billet tip Bassani on the new ride, but it is extremely loud as it is the SC or Street Competition series.

I personally like the exotic tone of the QT series that Package has better. But, this certainly turns heads.

I just found this on their website. I'm so proud! That is my black FRC in the poster that they are on, and in the upper left corner...

Bassani makes some great products. I have thier QT exhaust on my Mustang and it sounds fantastic. The quality of the system is second to none as well. I paid a heck of a lot more for this exhaust than some of the other options but I think it was worth it.

Hot chicks!!

Howerver the words "Bassani Exhaust" and pictures of "Hot Chicks Bums" makes me think of "Hot Chicks Farting"... nice deep sound... higher pitched at WOT.

The elliptical tips are 7 inches across and the inner width is 6.5 inches. The height is 4 inches high and the inner height is 3.5 inches. So far the system is great.
