BB PRT or Corsa Indy Pace??

OK- which is more aggresive? Is either one too lound?

Is the PRT quiet until you put the hammer down?

I do not want obnoxious louds or angry neighbors..

I have a 2002 Z06 - with no mods

Re: BB PRT or Corsa Indy Pace??

With no other mods the PRT's are not too loud. They sounded real nice IMO, but after adding LT's no cats they became very loud.

Re: BB PRT or Corsa Indy Pace??

One big difference... PRT= cabin resonance, and Corsa Pace...none. About the same overall loudness when on the gas pedal, but different tone.

I will have to respectfully disagree!!
I've had PRT's on both my 01 and 03 Z06's and have never had a resonance problem!!

The 01 went thru various stages of exhaust upgrades.
Cat back swap for the increased exhaust note especially at WOT!!

Then headers, hiflow cats and X-pipe!!!
Totally different note with the X-pipe over the factory H-pipe!!
I actually had more interior noise from the GY tires than exhaust, but never any resonance problems!!

I do know what the 16-1800 and 24-2600 RPM resonance sound like also!!

When I bought the modded 03, it had an MTI 383 stroker, Kooks, no cats, X-pipe and Borla Stinger!! I could NOT stand to drive the car at those ranges!!!!!!!!
I bought another set of PRT's and the problem was solved!!

Ask anyone that drove the car at WinterFest!!
Then again it might be my old rotund body structure that is just more in tune with the PRT's!!

Just my .02
Ken

I was hoping Ken would chime in here. THe PRT's on his car sound great IMHO, and having driven the car I know that they don't resonate.

Re: BB PRT or Corsa Indy Pace??

Meh, get Borla Stingers....you'll get used to the resonance after a while. Go ahead, scare your neighbors.

Re: BB PRT or Corsa Indy Pace??

I've got PRTs w/ no other mods other than a Blackwing and it sounds great. There's no resonance but there is drone on the highway but IMO all aftermarket cat-backs drone. The Corsas are nice too but don't let resonance scare you away from PRTs because it's not an issue.
