BFG KD Sizing

What size BFG KD's are you guys running in front with stock wheels? The available sizes are 275/40 (25.7") and 255/40 (25.0") vs. stock of 265/40 (25.4"). I'm leaning towards the 275's.

Thanks,

- John

What size rear tires/wheels are you using/plan on using? The 255/40 have a .2 in. shorter sidewall vs the 275/40s .1 in. taller sidewall as compared to stock.

The 255/40s overall diameter is .3" or 1.2% less than stock and the 275/40 is .4" or 1.2% greater.

They do have the stock rear size - 295/35s, and the datasheets put the height at the same as the F1's - 26.1". Recommendations are welcome.

These cars can benefit from a wider front tire in order to help reduce understeer. However, the cosmetics may not be ideal as you might end up with a taller front sidewall than the rear. A tall sidewall is not a bad thing though as it helps prevent rim damage over potholes, etc.

Yeah, I'm not excited about the taller sidewall cosmetically but the traction would be nice. Thanks No Doubt. I know some guys on here run the KDs, so if anyone has pics of the combination, please post them up!

One thing to consider is going with a 18" wheel on the front. BFG KD 265/35-18 works great on the front.
