BONE STOCK results!

i just came back from mike murrillo motorsports.. where i had my bone stock(even the filter was in place) 02 z dyno'd. I had four consecutive pulls(didnt wait for more than 10 seconds).. these are the numbers

coolant temp: 200-215
air temp: 65F

results:
RWHP RWTQ
LOW:362 356
HIGH:364 358

A/F: 11.6

what do you guys think?
i think the car has a lot more in it.. the A/F shows us that its running rich..
1- what is the optiumum A/F?
2- what is the expected increase/decrease in RWHP if A/F was corrected?
3- how are the TQ? (not as in high or low.. do they match the RWHP numbers or are they off?)

finally..

pics!

Looks good, dude. Those #s match up almost exactly to my stock #s, too (dyno on my webpage).

OPtimum AF is 12.8 - 13.0. Some cars pick up a lot of power with the right air fuel. Some cars dont do much.

You might hit around 370 with tuning which would be very strong.

Those are excellent results...>Really pretty high to be honest.

Your car is indeed very rich, for a good safe tune you would want to adjust that to 12.8:1 or so. There is altleast 5-10 RWHP left in it...Maybe more.

Congrats

BTW: How many miles do you have on the clock?

I concur with the above. You have a strong car for a stocker. Going from 10.4:1 to 12.5:1 (my car didn't pick up any running it leaner than that), I picked up 17rwhp. Mine was overly rich due to the effect the Vortex intake had on it.

So, some mild tuning will definitely help you some.

Mike Murrillo Motorsports, huh? I remember racing him back in the days in 5.0 Mustang Shootouts. He had just started his own business as a racer/tuner, and with "company sponsored" cars, there was no way to compete with him. He's a good guy.

yeah he has a 7 sec mustang... he said i could pick up between 20 to 30 RWHP so i asked him do you gurantee it? he said no.. so i assumed it was sales man B.S. cuz if what he said is true.. i could be pushing down 390 RWHP with a bone stock car.. and that is impossible IMO..

I'm assuming that those are corrected SAE results. Great job.

These cars will make more power when they are broken in. Most of the gains from breakin come in the first 5,000 miles though. I would expect you will get a little more power by 25K miles, by then the engine is nice and loose (broken in).

Great results

Nice numbers! I would think you could gain around 10 with some tuning.
