Car is done....custom cam, headers, intake, tune...

My car got done being worked on and tuned the other day.

Had to upgrade to 38lb fuel injex because the stockers were at 98% duty cycle....new ones are at 68% at 6700rpm

I must say...the cam is very tame. I expected that the longtubes + no cats would be loud (even with stock catback), but it really isn't. It is moderately loud when at WOT but other than that its very liveable. Driveability is excellent...no surging, bucking, etc. Brian at HiTech did a great job of both dialing in the tune and picking the right cam for my needs....it has gobs of midrange torque and pulls strong to 6700rpm. Casey did the actual install and did a nice thorough job. Bart gave me a very fair price.

Mods are: custom HiTech Motorsport-specced Comp cam (mild...226*@0.050), Stainlessworks longtubes and offroad X-pipe, underdrive pulley, Halltech Stinger intake, dynotune by HiTech. I'm also running heavy aftermarket Z06 Motorsport wheels, which don't help the numbers.

Peak numbers:
414hp @ 6300rpm, 396tq @ 4500-4700rpm, SAE corrected.

KrisR is a happy boy.

Great numbers...

Yes, those heavy motorsport rims suck, and rob RWHP.

Do you mean before or after the other mods? A 'base tune' was put in the car when the mods were installed, so I didn't get numbers with the aftermarket parts and stock tune.

If you mean numbers with the stock tune and no mods, then yes......368/361 on a cool-engine pull, with the factory (light) Z06 wheels.

Trust me I would give up the extra rwhp for a little less cam.

Nahhhh
