cd/aux button on stereo

What if anything, can I do with the aux portion of the car stereo? Can I add another component that would run through the stereo using the aux button? I have an MP3 player I would like to attach directly to the stereo.

I did a search, but didn't find anything in the forums.

HI there,
I would need to know what you have for options on your vehicle.
Please remember that your CD/aux button will create a change if you have a CD in the radio, from the radio itself.
As if you have a rear Cd changer, this will send a communications signal to the rear changer.
Unfortunately, it is not just an on and off switch.
Please let us know what you would like to do, c4c5

I have the stereo with in-dash cd player, no tape, etc. I was wondering if I could plug in my new MP3 player directly to the Corvette's stereo player. I really don't want to have to use one of those FM transmitters hooked up to my mp3 player in order to use it in the car.

Thanks for any help.

Hi there,
Honestly, I would say you most likely will have to use a adapter.
I would recommend that you look for your antenna control module, located behind the drivers side trim panel, behind the seat.
You can install that there, and run it normal.
Besttoyou, c4c5
