Clicking sound in idle!

Need some help. My car produces a clicking sound when i start it and it is in neutral. The sound ceases when i depress the clutch pedal completely. Is this normal??
I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Over the phone he said it might be the throttle body and he's going to take it apart!

Why would it be the TB ... More than likely it's the throw out bearing. The trannys in the zo6 make all kinds of sounds. Just try turning your car off with the clutch engaged (not in gear) and then once with it depressed. Big difference in sound. You could give it to the dealership to look at for a few weeks .. then they;ll come back and tell you "that's what they all do". It's very common.

the throwout bearing "rattles" a LOT.

If you can depress the clutch pedal and it goes away, it's gonna be the throw-out bearing 99.9% of the time

That thing is directly under the dash, right behind the radio and stuff, so it's noisy in the cabin....

Gammara has it right. My '02 makes all kinds of noise, throw out bearing and trans. The only thing he left out is:give it to the dealership......

they'll beat the hell out of it, .... then they'll.....

They can make a lot of noise when idling in neutral with the clutch engaged. The noises are normal and described in the video. Do a search on 'marbles' and you'll probably find a lot. I sure wouldn't expect the throttle body to be a source, though. Don't let those dealer morons take your car apart for exploratory surgery.
