Clutch and Tranny replaced

Finally got my car back today! Took it in Nov 29 with tranny stuck in 4th gear. Clutch had been sticking to the floor. I appreciate the advise I got here in dealing with problem. I asked dealer again today if there was anything on the Tech Line or any kind of bulletin out about this problem. NO was the answer. I asked if the "fix" included any upgraded parts. He was rather vague about this but implied that there were upgrades. Here was there discription of the condition and then the fix.

Tech Comm: Tranny kicks out of 3rd stuck in 4th disassemble tranny found sycro blocker broken input shaft main shaft had rough pitted area and discolored priced out parts exceeded new tranny replaced tranny assm replaced clutch master cyl and slave cyl due to master cyl faulty slave cyl leaking

repair transmission assembly, replace

line 5 clutch pedal sticks at floor
cause: out of round
tech comment: clutch act cyl stuck to floor bore in cyl out of round replaced clutch actuator cyl

Clutch and transmission appear to be working perfectly. Hopefully what ever "new" parts they installed will prevent these problems in the future. While mine was in, there was another 02 with clutch problems being worked on.

I was concerned about the mods on my car possibly voiding my warranty but total charges were $0.

Glad your car is fixed.
Mine has been in for the sticking clutch pedal about 6 times and I'm on my 3rd clutch.
GM (Dave Peacy) is sending an engineer to work on my car after the new year to find the problem. Since I am one of the first ones with this problem going back almost 2 years and it keeps coming back I'm the guinea pig.
I have talked to two other people that this has just started happening to this weekend. I hope yours last, mine hasn't.
I get about 9,000 miles out of a clutch.

Mine still sticks down and the dealer hasn't responded with the teck line answer yet (5 weeks) They still pretend that there is no info on it. This is becoming a CIA coverup. or a Watergate type deal.

After they work on my car I'm sure the story will change.
This goes to the top and GM is concerned.
