code help

what does loss of communication with ldcm or pcm mean....got some codes but doing a search is giving really broad answers

I believe that is loss of communication with the left door control module...... a common code of no significance. Someone help me out here.....

no significance...... i like that seem a archived post where someone said with these codes 1160h,1064h to not drive its a misfire issue........made me want to thinking of the dealer

Most of the 10xx and 11xx codes are momentary drops in communication among the various computers in the car. If these show up as history codes, you can just ignore/clear them. If they show up as current, then there's likely a signal/wiring problem somewhere.

These codes are considered normal most of the time. Sometimes the car is busy doing something, and one or another of the modules decides to say 'hello' to the computer ... which is busy ... so it blows it off. Comm error. No problem.

In general, don't worry about history codes. They will clear themselves after 40-50 ignition cycles, unless you do it first. Only if a code keeps recurring, or shows up as current, should you get concerned.
