The first thing I would check is to see is the battery. If it is close to 3 years old, it could be causing your DTC codes. If not the battery, then you probably have a legitimate problem and I'd see your local stealership.

Re: damn active handling!

Mine has been doing that for about a year now. I get all three messages. Service Active handing, ABS and Traction control. It happens once every two to three weeks then on a restart it's gone and I'm good again. I am guessing that my EBCM is the culprit but at about $1,400.00 or so to replace it I'm waiting for it to go completley. ABS fixer sells rebuilt units for about $300.00 if I remember correctly

i dont get all three messages just the one, service active handling, so is it the ABS module that controls that?

Re: damn active handling!

I'm no expert but since you only get the one message maybe it's something else.

Re: damn active handling!

It could be the steering wheel position sensor, have you pulled the codes. Mine gives the same message from time to time

Re: damn active handling!

It's hard to track down the issue without knowing which code you're setting off. Pull the codes and post them. The most common TCS errors seem to be 1214 (bad EBTCM) and 1287/1288 (bad steering wheel position sensor)
