Does an x-pipe=no interior resonance?

I've been thinking about installing an x-pipe for some time now and i'm still wondering. I don't expect much if any gains but was wondering if it removes some if not all interior resonance with an aftermarket exhaust?

It made quite a bit of difference when I had the Bassani X-pipe/Borla Stingers.( actually was too quiet for me )

The x-pipe I installed w/Borlas toned down the volume some as well as got rid of most of the popping & jingle noise in the system. I still have some resonance between 2500 and 3000 (mostly when cold) which my partition makes quite bearable (it also gets rid of most of the tire/road noise). Love those Borlas!
