Dragon Goes Down

I took my car to the Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, NC Friday where the three
students in the High Performance Suspension Class,
Scott, Eric and Mark with guidance from their instructor Tom Monroe lowered my Z06 and then aligned it according to factory specs.

We used the factory bolts in the front, but used
longer bolts in the back to get it lower than we
could have with the stock bolts.

Thanks guys, you did a good job and the 400 mile drive to NC from WV was worth it.

Cool! They probably did a better job on the alignment that most chevy garages.

Great experience for them. Did you give them all a ride before and after to show them the results? I would think that you dropped 3/4" in the front. How much drop in the rear with the bolts that where installed?

We dropped the back about 1-1/2". All 3 students got a ride they won't forget. The instructor, Tom Monroe held a speed record on the Bonneville Salt Flats for about 10 years in a Chevy Monza with an injected 350 ci small block at over 217 mph. He's my crazy brother, an ex Ford engineer and engineered a car called the Bricklin for production.

Hey, I know Tom! If he had something to do with your Z06 it's done right !! The only drawback is Tom's affinity for "blue ovals".
Seriously, looks great!

Taildragger, did Tom ever tell you he has the record for keeping a 56 Ford airborne? He does like his Fords but he is still impressed with the Z06s.
