I just placed my order. I have been very pleased with the quality of their parts and their service.

Was thinking of one myself. What did they come up with to mount it? What does it attach to? Thanks, Don

Maybe I'm missing something... as I'm thinking of NASCAR catch cans... but what is this "catch can" used for?

Oil collection from getting into the intake manifold through the PCV system I believe.

Hi Don,
The can has a heafty metal arm that runs at a 45 degree angle off the can. It has two slotted holes for the 2 stainless steel allen head bolts to mount the arm to the head in the two holes already present. Parts and craftsmanship are excellent. All hoses and spring clips are provided as well. It truly was a 15 minute job. The fit was perfect.
The can is actually two separate cylinders. The upper cylinder contains wire mesh to breakdown the incoming vapor and drop the oil into the bottom cylinder. The bottom cylinder simply unscrews so you can emptyt the can. It has a rubber
o-ring seal to properly seal the can.

Why are we showing a PCV Catch Can in the C6 Z06 section? (picture shows an LS6 engine)

Aren't LS7's vented to the Dry Sump Reservoir?

Thanks John. That bracket arm sounds great. I guess I will order one. Don

DJ yeah your right it should be in the C5Z section. If you are still a mod maybe you can take care of it for John.

Sorry. I put it in the Pit Road section but it must have been the C6 instead of the C5.

It would be nice to have one for the C6Z - the breather hose that runs from the dry sump reservoir to the accordian can pass oil and make a mess . . .

Guys ... read this carefully.

http://www.eliteengineeringusa.com/Catch_Can.html

It fits LS1, LS6 and LS2 (on Vettes, Camaros, Firebirds and GTOs) with a custom mounting bracket to the front of the RH head. Might end up being one for the LS7 if there is a demand -- easy if the LS7 has the same threaded holes on the RH head. Also, it could be used as a universal Catch Can if someone wanted to makeup their own mounting bracket.
