Euro taillights help

I'm trying to install euro taillights that I got from mid america...which should have gotten it from somewhere else. They are have lots of splicing going on to install these lights But anyway, they sent the instruction but it's only the first page of 2. I'm wondering if anyone has the second page that they can send me or if you know a website that has the instructions are showed. Thanks for the help

Sorry, I don't have the second page, but can't they simply fax you the page?

Mid America has EXCELENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

They emailed me these intructions even though I bought the kit used on the forum.

Suggested Installation Instructions for #601-715 and 612-221, 1997-up
Corvette European Tail Lamp Conversion Kit
Tools Needed:
5/16" Box or Open Wrench
T-15 Torx™ Driver, Wire Cutter, Pliers, Digital Voltmeter or Test Light
Electrical Tape
Masking Tape
Masking Paper (newspaper or paper towels can also be used)
Contents:
4-Red/Amber Taillight Assemblies (2 each marked LH & RH)
1-Harness Assembly with Bulbs
2-Burgundy T-Tap Connectors
7-Blue T-Tap Connectors
Helpful Hints:
To make this installation smooth and less time consuming, we suggest completely
reading the instructions before beginning installation. This will allow you to “map out”
which supplies you will need and when. Check your Corvette’s Owner’s Manual for
stereo anti-theft feature that may be activated when battery is disconnected.
1. Disconnect positive battery cable using 5/16" wrench. Remove hush panel under
steering column, and carefully disconnect courtesy lamp from panel (see diagram 1).
Locate brake switch connector (two cavity connector-one orange-one white NOTE: In
some applications, a three cavity connector may be utilized, which incorporates a light
blue wire in addition to the orange and white wires). After brake switch connector is
located, cut WHITE wire and insulate both ends with electrical tape. Reinstall courtesy
lamp into hush panel and replace panel in its original location (see diagram 2).
2. Mask rear fascia below tail lamps with masking tape and masking paper to protect
paint from scratches. Using T-15 Torx™ driver, remove all tail lamp assemblies from car
(two screws per tail lamp). Remove bulb sockets from lamp assembly by pushing in tabs
on side of lamp socket and turning. Install factory lamp sockets into the RED portion of
the new tail lamp assemblies. NOTE: Lamp housings are marked LH (driver) and RH
(passenger), be sure to locate new lamp housings in proper position (see diagram 3).
3. Remove backup lamp/license bracket assembly by removing Torx™ screws at each
corner of assembly. Remove backup lamp sockets from housing by pushing tab on
socket and turning. Removal of this assembly will allow you to gain easier access to
the rear lamp wiring harness (see diagram 4).
4. Carefully fish new harness behind fascia through license opening, making sure that
the YELLOW wires are towards the driver’s side and the GREEN wires are towards the
passenger’s side of the car.
5. See Wiring Diagram. On both LH tail lamps, locate the YELLOW wire going to each
socket on the factory wiring harness. Cut YELLOW wires, allowing enough wire from
back of socket for reattachment. Install blue T-Tap connectors to each inner and outer
factory socket side YELLOW wires, and one to existing outer harness YELLOW wire.
Harness YELLOW wire for the inner socket is left disconnected. Insulate this wire with
electrical tape.
Install one burgundy T-Tap to the BLACK wire on the existing outer socket.
(DO NOT CUT BLACK WIRE.)
Install new harness BLACK wire to BLACK wire T-Tap connector.
OUTER LH LAMP: Connect single YELLOW wire spade connector found at the outer end of the new harness to the LH outer factory socket yellow wire
T-Tap. Connect new harness outer socket double YELLOW wire spade connector (jumper wire from new harness outer socket) to factory harness YELLOW
wire T-Tap.

INNER LH LAMP: Connect new harness single YELLOW
wire spade connector to the factory harness socket
YELLOW wire T-Tap.
6. On both RH tail lamps, locate the GREEN wire going to
each socket on the factory wiring harness. Cut GREEN
wires, allowing enough wire from back of socket for
reattachment. Install blue T-Tap connectors to each
inner and outer factory socket side GREEN wire, and
one to existing outer harness GREEN wire. Harness
GREEN wire for inner socket is left disconnected.
Insulate this wire with electrical tape.
Install one burgundy T-Tap to the BLACK wire on the
existing outer socket. (DO NOT CUT BLACK WIRE.) Install
new harness BLACK wires to BLACK wire T-Tap connector.
OUTER RH LAMP: Connect double GREEN wire spade
connector found at the outer end of the new harness to
the RH outer factory socket GREEN wire T-Tap. Connect
new harness outer GREEN wire spade connector to factory
harness GREEN wire T-Tap.
INNER RH LAMP: Connect new harness inner socket single
GREEN wire spade connector to factory harness socket
GREEN wire T-Tap.
7. Reach inside license opening and locate CHMSL (Center
High Mounted Stop Lamp) YELLOW wire on connector
and install a blue T-Tap connector to this wire. (DO
NOT CUT WIRE. You may need to peel back the black
tape on the factory harness to gain access to the
YELLOW wire. (See diagram 4.)
8. Connect the spade connector that has both a GREEN
and YELLOW wire to the blue T-Tap connector on
CHMSL YELLOW wire.
9. Install new harness lamp sockets into the amber
portion of the lamp assemblies. NOTE: DO NOT FORCE
SOCKETS INTO HOUSINGS. THEY WILL ONLY FIT IN ONE
DIRECTION!
10.Reconnect battery. Perform the following test
procedures. Turn on emergency flashers. Amber lenses
should be flashing. Step on brake pedal. Red lenses
should be illuminated. Turn key to the “run” position
and check turn signals for proper operation. If any
lamps do not operate correctly, double check wiring
connections to instructions. Install lamp assemblies into fascia using factory Torx™ screws.
11.Reinstall lamp sockets into backup lamp/license frame assembly. Reinstall assembly using factory Torx™ screws.

pauln64....man! That sounds like a lot of work! I don't know if the MA euros are like the lapd's, but it seems to me they would all be the same. Here are the instructions I used to install mine:

I bought a used set of the OTHER forum. They had been installed and the wiring was a mess. I checked our forum for install info but the harness was different. I called Mid America for their instructions and that was no match either.

I had to create my own harness using what I had and a wiring diagram. PINA but they work nice and I save $100 bucks, buys alot of beer.

preciate it...I decided to leave the car alone and got on the phone with mid america and got them to email me. All done with the mod and will have pics of the mods. Thanks for the help.

FYI : I wouldn't buy from mid america for those lights..why
1. they don't send everything...only had 1 of 2 pages in instructions and if they had just sent me the second page, I would have been fine
1. they don't send everything...their instructions adv of several taps for the wires, they didn't send all the wire taps

so what have we learned...buy somewhere else

Harness

I bought mine from PFYC (forum vendor), they came with a plug in wiring harness. Easy, the only thing I had to do was cut a wire under the drivers side dash.

I'm a rookie when it comes to Vette's. This is my first one. When I checked online, I thought tha it may have been the same kit that everyone sells but unfortunately it's not. So lesson learned and until Mid America changes their kit, I would suggest getting your kit elsewhere b/c plug and play rules over having to splice wires. Everything works fine, but I would have been done in like 30 min if it was plug and play
