Exhaust cut-outs

I'm running QTP's electric cutouts on my Z. I have headers, no cats, cut-outs and stock Ti's. I've been told it's bad for the motor to be running with the cutouts open all of the time because they motor needs backpressure to "pull" the flame (???) out of the motor. Not sure I understand what I was told.

Does anyone know if there's a problem running with the cutouts open all of the time with my exhaust set-up? I love that "cammy" sound but dont want to hurt my new motor.

I order you to give up those cutouts and mail them to me this minute..

I ran my car with straight through offroad exhaust for about 20,000 miles - until I got a ticket - my car did not seem to suffer any ill effects, in fact it probably helped the motor as I was less likely to jump on it because of the noise -nowIam all over the gas pedal any chance I get.

hehe.....no chance. I honestly think cutouts are the most overlooked exhaust option.
