FLP high flow cats v. no cats?

Installed the FLP LT header system last night w/o the cats. It's really loud w/Borla Stingers. The cops are going to be all over me. I'm thinking of putting the high-flow cats on that came with the system. Anyone know how much quieter it makes the system? What about hp? Given the mods in my sig, will using the high-flow cats lower hp measurably? I'll be going to dyno to tune once I am satisfied with all the mods. As usual, thanks the help guys.

Its quite a bit quieter with the cats on, and you lose roughly 10rwhp.

That's a considerable loss of rwhp. Is that w/o any tuning?

Re: FLP high flow cats v. no cats?

I agree it quiets down a lot with the cats on. In my case with MAFT tuning done at the time I lost 8 RWHP with the cats on, so they are in the box

Tuning or no tuning, you're gonna lose 8-10 (at least) because of added backpressure.

I have the FLPs and just took the off road pipes off and put the high flow cats back on. Waaaaay too loud for me!!

Also took off my B&B PRTs and put stock pipes back on. The noise was getting obnoxious. Sounded good though!!

The Z seems pretty tame now, but it is still louder than Sherylann's by maybe 30%.

The big restriction is the cats.
I had the same exact no cat borla stinger setup and I agree it was out of control loud.
Went back to stock catback (still no cats though) and car sounds great and didn't seem to lose any power at all.
Like they always say remove the closest restriction first.

I loved the sound and the smell was great. Just like being at the track. But, I just knew the cops would be pullin' me over and takin' a looksee down under. Sooooo, the cats went on tonight. It definately mellowed out the sound. It still sounds great though w/the Borla's. I'll miss the smell and my pants tell me that I did in fact lose some ponies. But, I should get more once I have a tuning session. Wasn't hard to put the cats on, but it was a bit difficult getting the v clamps off. Had to use a screw driver to pry them off those pipes.
