Gains from LPE headers WOW

Installed 1 7/8 custom hand built LPE headers on my 383 Z,

gains at: 2000 rpm 40 rwtq

3000 rpm 44 rwtq

4000 rpm 40 rwtq

peak rwtq was 412 which was 6 higher, and 200 rpm

peak rwhp was 420 which was 25 higher, also carried to a higher rpm

above peak rwhp 6000 rpm 29 rwhp

6400 rpm 32 rwhp

This header was not cheap, crazy money, thank God they worked, still insane, but what the hell.

How much did you pay for their "custom headers"?

Does anyone know how the 1350.00 set of LPE Longtubes compare to the custom built set? And has anyone got any numbers on what kind of HP the 1350.00 set will produce. LPE is going to install these on my car when they do the S/C Pkg. at the end of July?

Great #'s by the way.

The 1 3/4 and the 1 7/8 are both LPE design, it's just that the
1 7/8 is not setup to be made by machine, when it does it will come down in price, maybe next summer there will be a cheaper 1 7/8, so do not worry LPE is a quality shop and nothing that i have seen get's done half way.

Soooh I think another Guiness sounds good.
