Here goes.
When I got my Z it had 55 miles on it..nice retired guy delivered it from San Jose.
The idle was a little rough felt like it was cold even when it was warmed up. You also had to really feather the clutch to get a smooth start out of first.
At about 550 miles I got a Halltech Trap.(very nice unit by the way) Installed it,did the relearn and ever since idle is much smoother. The clutch release is way smoother.
I realize the reason the clutch is smoother is because of the way the motor is running.
These things changed with the trap.I have 900 miles on her now.
Never had a code thrown. It pulls like a freaking freight car after 3500 rpm. Especially in 2nd and 3rd.Mostly because I don't have
enough road around here to test 4th 5th 6th
My question is this I have done much reading on this forum about air intake installs.Without a edit they run too rich even read you may loose torque without a edit? If its not throwing any codes am I within safe perimeters for the motor even if it is too rich. Also does the edit just for fuel trim void your warranty?
I appreciate any info you are willing to share.Thanx
Jeff
