Just thought you Z lovers would like to here, that I got them!LG's are the best! Can't wait to put them on after I get my sticky clutch problem fixed they are going on! I'll post pic's later.Thank's Lou
That's cool I hope you guy's get your's soon hate waiting for parts!Yeah,I going to install them myself. The install seems straight forward.Hope you guy's love your as much I love mine.Goodluck!
Let us know how the install goes and also post up before and after dyno numbers if possible. My 02 is stock except for Vararam and I am considering these headers also.
I'm sure they'll be great! I just couldn't justify spending $700 more that the Kooks I just ordered. But if money was no object then I'd be rolling with them.
Yeah the Kook's are nice but the one's that I found are $1300for the offroad set.The LG's are a true long tube header!Plus Lou gave to me for $1495 shipped free!

I too ordered mine last week. I have been trying to get an answer on how long the installation takes but am getting no reply from Lou. I am in the Middle East, my car is in Canada and will be heavily modded by Davenport Racing in Calgary, Alberta. Can anyone who has installed these give me some estimated time for the complete install? I just want to make sure that I am getting what I pay for on the install side.
Also, I have heard that heat shields may need to be fabricated and installed to protect certain electrical components. Has anyone else heard this?
Kurt, I've installed 2 sets with the cars on jackstands here at my house. If your shop has the car on a lift, I can't see it taking more than a few hours to install the headers. It's very straightforward with no gotchas along the way.
I think the biggest issue people have seen is shops not following the directions that Lou includes regarding the O2 sensor wiring.
On both sets I've done I haven't encountered any issues, even after several 1000 miles.

Thanks, Wayne
That's the info that I was looking for. They said that they were charging 9 hours to install the SLP's and that they had to build and install heat shields as part of the installation.
