I am going to to buy QA1 double adjustable front shocks and single adjustable rear shocks. I do use the car on the track on DE and as a daily driver. I have lower the car and I am using Hotchkis sway bars. I have new track tires Kumho 275-17 V700 in the front and 305-18 in the back that I have never used. Is this the way to go or is there a better way. The shocks are kind of costly so please help me.
You may want to look in to Penski's or JRZ's and or Koni, and I would think that it would be in you best interest (for tuning) to get DAs front and rear. Questions you may want to ask HAL: Is the base valving tuned to the Z06? With DA that would be the high-speed bump.
I don't do DE's anymore but I can tell you that the Hal QA1 double adjustable shocks are terrific! I get far better traction now than I did before the install!
You can not tune the bump and rebound seperately on the HAL's.
When you adjust bump the rebound is adjusted as well which is not ideal. Especially when front and rear rebound needs to go in opposite directions as bump increases as is the case on the Z06.
