Help! New owner needing help

Help!

I just purchased an 02 Z06. I have been reading this sight for some time now and know that there is a great deal of knowledge shared between everyone. I would greatly appreciate any help. I know that there are so many things to do. I am trying to get the most out of bolt ons at this point in the game.

Intakes? Halltech, Breathless, MTI's stuff?
Exhaust? (are the x-pipes worth it, headers, SLP loudmouth)

Do it yourself mods? what can i do myself(used to own a SS camaro, did the exhaust mod off of ls1.com as well as the throttle body bypass mod

MAF-aftermarkets? worth it?

Throttle Body? worth it?

I am basically overwhelmed by all of this. Just need some direction. Thank you!

Welcome!

My personal opinion:

Breathless Vortex box/filter
Airbridge (take your pick)
Shaner S2 throttle body
TPIS long tubes(bang for the buck) - LGM long tubes(money no concern)
Magnaflow Xpipe(if you do TPIS)

Thank you TAMU! Is that your media clip running at night?

What does the TPIS do for sound? Does it change the tone at all? What about the Magnaflow Xpipe? Will it change up the sound?

The Shaner S2, what sort of gains can I expect from this?

Are you familiar with San Angelo, Texas? Just a curious Texan asking another. Thank you for your info. Looking forward to hearing more.

Nope - not my media clip - it wasn't me!

All of those exhaust things you spoke up affect the sound, louder and deeper...

I picked up 12-15 rwtq from 2500-4800 rpm, 1-2peak hp/tq, and picked up a bit after peak hp/tq with the S2 throttle body. Improved throttle response quite a bit also...

Not familiar with San Angelo, knew some folks from there once...

Jase, Congrats on the ride,

I would go with the slp loud mouths if noise is not a concern.

Bro, I have them and they SCREAM.

Darwin.

PS: Mansfield is just South of Arlington 5 miles or so.

Darwin, thank you kindly! I just arrived home this afternoon from Arlington, Six Flags! Excellent part of our great state!

Exactly how loud is the SLP system. I have a friend with the Borla Stingers. Have you ever had a chance to compare the two? I am just stuck, there is sooooo much to do out there. Thank you for the response!

TAMU, where can I purchase the S2? I have been looking for good prices for the TPIS and TByrnemotorsports looks to have the best price if you take into consideration not having to pay sales tax.

Jase, the slp's are way louder than the Stingers.

I have about 5 or 6 fellow c5's and 2 Z06's buddies with Stingers and the slp's are louder.

The Borlas actually have mufflers, the slp's have a baffle that's it other than that it's basically running a straight pipe.

I'm sending you a PM about the TB.

Xtreme Motorsports has a deal going for $895 for the TPIS right now...

Not Tamu here , Jas, but thought I'd chime in.
First, Congrats on your new Z !!
I took some intel training at Goodfellow AFB there in San Angelo 1000 years ago. Was there about 9 weeks and I liked the town.
TPIS will change the sound and the X pipe will dampen it just a little. Didn't really here a change in tone with the X pipe myself.
Congrats again
