Just wondering if anyone has tried these headlights before, they look really cool, but I feel somewhat doubtful that the lighting will be all that great...

Reason: Link to non site vendor
Re: High Power LED Headlights? Anyone tried these?
O, sorry, didn't realize we couldn't link to non-vendor sites, but you can just do a search and google and there's only 2 types, 1 black and 1 chrome for what I'm talking about, just hoping to get some review on the headlights before I buy a set.
Re: High Power LED Headlights? Anyone tried these?
If you are talking about these:
I put these on my car about six months ago. I replaced a set of HID fixed headlights with these. The light output is the same as the HIDs. When they arrived they were wired so that the bottom row of lights is the low beams and the upper row of lights is the high beam. Problem is that that the lower row of lights does not hit the road in front of the car, and they do not seem to be as bright as the top row. We reversed the wiring and I use the top row as the low beam as these illuminate the road in front of me as well as quite a distance down the road.
Here are two pics I took one night in my neighborhood.
Without the lights on:
With the lights on:
The signs in the distance are about 450 feet away, and you can also see how far down the road you can see the white line on the right of the car. On the highway where you have the reflectors in the striping, the lights illuminate the reflectors a long way out.
Here is what the car looks like with them on the car:
I like them.

Re: High Power LED Headlights? Anyone tried these?
The install was pretty plug n play, the shop that installed them did have to mess with the brackets a little to get the fit right. Will post details in Monday.

Mark, what housings are they? I've had the C5R Specter Werkes for a few years and always thought the quality was pretty awful. I'd like to replace them if there's something better out there.
Re: High Power LED Headlights? Anyone tried these?
Housings are similart to the C5R housings, although I thought they were better quality.
The LED lights actually consume a fraction of the battery power of normal lights and they last significantly longer than normal lights. This is why so many other types of lights for the home (flood lights, spot lights, indoor lighting) are going to LEDs.
Have not had a chance to talk with the shop but will this weekend. Sorry for the delay.

Re: High Power LED Headlights? Anyone tried these?
Every aftermarket lighting swap I have experienced were always worse results than OEM quality. Now I haven't purchased any for my Z06 and will not based on past experiences. Save your money. Buy better tires.

That is not the case with the c5 corvette.
The c5 has notoriously bad OEM lighting and there are tons of better options out there.
Re: High Power LED Headlights? Anyone tried these?
Upgrade to the euro T-84 glass lenses and wiring harness, and you can run a 130W bulbs. The beam is tighter and brighter, they're still pop-ups, and it's much less expensive.
