Hotchkis Sway Bar Question

I installed my sway bars yesterday and have a question about the endlink lengths. What length should I set them??
I have my car lowered on the stock bolts and since the stock endlinks were about 3.250" center to center I set the centerline of my new ones at 4".

Is this correct? The sway bars for sure improved roll but I sure wish I could have got some T1 bars if they were available.

Has anyone else noticed the quality of the endlink bolts being poor? The 5mm allen head that is machined into the end is too small and you have to pound your allen wrench into it. This kind of sucks and hotchkis know it becasue they even mention it in the directions that the fit maybe tight. Then the bolt material is so soft that as you tighten the nut the allen head strips out.

You need to adjust the end links with the weight of the car on the wheels in a normal sitting configuration to be neutral. This was accomplished on my Vette during alignment and setup. A lift makes this easy. If no lift you need to get the car supported on all 4 tires and high enough to perform the process. I have seen it done on blocks of wood but the lift makes the job very easy.

Boy, it sure would be nice if the Hotchkiss would tell me this. I called them before doing the install figuring they would tell me to have the suspension loaded. They told me due to the articulation in the endlink it would not be necesssary to have the suspension loaded.

For the rear it will not be too bad to do with the car up on ramps, but for the front I had to actually take the wheels off to get to the nuts.

Maybe I will do the rears on ramps, measure the lengths and then just do the fronts the same.
