Re: How much HP from an 02-04 Z06 with Bolt-on Mods
I am not an expert and am curious also but I'm going to guess 400 RWHP. Honestly, I do not know. I'm just guessing to see how close I am when other chime in. I know my stock 02 made like 380ish with a tune and cai.

So with 400 at the rear then at the crank it would be about 470hp. The reasons I ask is I have all those mods and more. Once I get my engine back together I should be pumping out over 525-550hp at the crank with the additional mods I have.
Custom grind cam
Comp Cams Push rods
Yella Terra 1.7:1 ultra light roller rockers
Valve Springs good up to .580 lift
Stage 1 Port and polish on the heads
Can you tell I can't wait to get her started.

I'm just so dang close to starting her up. I'm just trying to figure out what kind of HP I might be looking at...I know I just need to wait until the tuner gets done with her and he will tell me but I'm still curious what hp others are getting with said mods.

I would doubt stock engine with just a CAM will gain from 405 to 550 flywheel street HP. That is 145 HP gain, no not for CAM change.
Chassis dyno are always funny numbers as engine is seldom running peak numbers for any length of time
Drivetrain loss is no more then 10-11% so your rearwheel numbers for stock would be more like 40-50 HP less then flywheel
Slight porting of heads with stock exhaust diameter, valve and cylinder size will not have much of any gain and if porting not done correctly can cost gains.
Safe side maybe 475 flywheel with bit of torque gain.

I would agree with you except right before I took my engine apart the car was putting out 474 hp at the crank. This was with the number seven cylinder broke. As far as the porting goes all I did was the exhaust I left the intake alone. So if I'm putting out 474 with seven cylinders that's 67 hp per cylinder when the number seven comes back up I should have 67 more horse +474. That's why I was expecting better numbers. Does that make since?

I'm getting 407rwhp from a mild cam and 102 MAF sensor with a tune, with stock exhaust. A larger manifold, larger throttle body, ported high flow heads, and full length headers , might result in 525 or so at the crank. But there's not much left to do at that point. Aluminum flywheel and other weight saving measures will make the car faster beyond that. And you could stroke it.

That sounds about right. If I hit 525 at the crank I would be happy. I do have a light weight flywheel as well, plus a stage 3 clutch. The car hits hard and raps out quicker than I can shift sometimes.
I agree there really isn't much more I could do to the car except put a blower or turbos on it.
I can't wait to turn the key for the frost time since October.

Re: How much HP from an 02-04 Z06 with Bolt-on Mods
With your mods and a good tune you should see around 410-415 rwhp.
My LS6 with the same mods and a very good set of Stage 3 LS6 heads and 11.5 to 1 compression made 438rwhp and once I put the FAST 90 and 90mm tb on it it went up to 455rwhp with tuning. Cam was a bit bigger than yours, 232/236, .595"/.601" HTH

So I should be happy of I see 420-425 at the wheels. That's not much more than what I was making prior to the break down. That's cool, at least the engine will be bullet proof when I'm done. It was a pretty fast car to begin with so its all good. Thanks for the inputs.
BTW I just picked up a the fluids to do three oil changes for the break in.

You mentioned in other posts installing larger fuel injectors
If so with tune maybe firm 420ish rearwheel with peak bit higher.
Stock LS6 CAM grind is not bad so 3rd party CAM change alone without stroking does not get what the "claimed" funny numbers of static chassis dyno state
