I've decided to replace all my pistons even though I'm over budget but I don't want to have to tear the engine apart again if another piston poops out after I get my engine back together.

What is a reasonably priced set that has good qualities. I need flat tops as I don't want to change the combustion chamber.

I wouldn't hesitate to go with forged Wiseco's. I would definitely get the flat-tops with valve reliefs. Not sure what they cost, but I really don't think they are out of line with their pricing. Others to look at would include Mahle, JE, Manley, Diamond. Whatever you decide on, make sure you get forged pistons.

The Wiseco's were my choice helping a friend picking some parts recently. I believe the set was $610.
