Install of Throttle Body?

Does anyone have installation instructions for the BPP Ported & Flowed Throttle Body? Just wondering how much time is required to remove / install a new one.

Not so mechanically inclined,

Very simple about an hour at the most, when you unplug the two lines that enter the throttle body be sure to put a towel underneath as the coolant will come out. You will still need directions but this is just one tip I suggest, as well as using a new rubber gasket and torqueing the bolts down properly. Good luck let us know how it turns out.

I replaced my stock one with the ported halltech unit. It was VERY easy to do. I am no mechanical whiz either. There are three bolts to remove, a couple wires and the two coolant hoses(I would suggest a coolant bypass at this time anyway. Don't worry about it, it is not hard.

thanks guys

GREAT! Thanks a lot for the info! I was thinking about the following....

BPP Ported Throttle Body
Throttle Body Coolant By-pass
178 Degree Thermostat
MSD Performance Plug Wires
Beru Spark Plugs

Saw this a Breathless Performance. I have all the other mods for the Stage 2 so I want to add these in as well. Next year I will consider the headers.

thanks again.

Ira, if your adding stage 2 heads/cam, talk to somebody before you replace the tstat. Based on what Frank said and confirmed by Katech, they prefer you use stock (192) tstat. Something about the lower temp tstat fooling the pcm into thinking it's in 'cold' start mode. If your going to be doing the LS6 edit to tune your stage 2 package, you can easily reset fan temps that way. Will probably have my old tstat reinstalled when they do the stage 2 and procharger.
If you still intend to add new tstat, I'll sell you mine

TAM,

Somehow I think that if I was mechanically savvy I would find your post humorus.

Mike, I will be sure to keep that in mind. Shoot me a PM and let me know what your price is and I will think about it. Just make sure that you didn't spit on it or somethin' like that. (hehehe)

thanks!
