Will head casting's # 243 off a 04 Z06 work on my 99 LS1, would I use LS6 or LS1 head gaskets? I already have Z06 intake, G5x2 cam, longtubes, Breathless vortex, ported throttle body, etc. putting down 390RWHP at last dyno, Thanks! Greg

Yes, they will work. As far as headgaskets, i'm not 100% sure, but I think either headgasket would work (ls1 or 6, i think they're identical) as long as they were designed for your year block.

They will bolt right on Greg.
Gaskets are the same.
CR will go from 10.1 to 10.4
